Working side by side with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement, you’ll use your education, experience and growing expertise to develop and evaluate new and innovative technology to survive in the most hostile of environments. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader for the early career M&P team, perform technical engineering assignments related to hardware assembly processes and testing. Reviews plans for new products and factors, such as strength, weight, and cost to submit material selection recommendations ensuring attainment of design objectives. Plans and implements laboratory operations to develop material and fabrication procedures for new materials to fulfill product cost and performance standards. Confers with producers of materials, such as metals, ceramics, and polymers, during investigation and evaluation of materials suitable for specific product applications.\nBasic Qualifications\nExperience with a variety of materials and processes engineering disciplines including organic materials (i.e. polymers, composites, etc.) adhesives and films, bonding, cleaning, failure analysis, and/or manufacturing operations.\nExperience in establishing and implementing technical requirements for materials in structural hardware \nExperience with creating and reviewing specification documents and engineering drawings \nPrevious coordination or oversight with hardware and/or raw material suppliers and subcontractors \nAbility/willingness to obtain/maintain a Top Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required\nDesired Skills\nNon-conformance and failure analysis disposition experience \nActive or Current Top Secret security clearance \nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
