Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is one of four Lockheed Martin business areas.\nWe are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the RF Product Center in Grand Prairie, TX. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing custom fixtures and setups that enable efficient, repeatable, and high-quality testing of RF sensor assemblies and subassemblies. The qualified candidate will work closely with hardware design and test teams to ensure fixtures meet tolerances, safety standards, and test goals while minimizing cost and lead time.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and implement test fixtures to support several developmental test activities on an RF-based sensor system.\nProduce detailed 3-D models and 2-D drawings using CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo) following company standards and GD&T practices.\nPerform structural, thermal, and kinematic analyses (FEA, tolerance stack-up) to verify fixture performance under load and during operation.\nWork closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and test engineering, to ensure seamless integration of developmental test activities.\nThis position is in Grand Prairie, TX.\nMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.\nBasic Qualifications\nMechanical Engineering degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant industry.\nProficient in Computer Aided Design (CREO preferred).\nAbility to produce detailed drawings.\nExperience with GD&T.\nUnderstanding of machining, additive manufacturing, welding, and assembly processes.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional team.\nActive secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.\nDesired Skills\nKnowledge of rapid prototyping (3-D printing, CNC machining) for fixture development.\nExposure to automation and robotics integration for fixture handling.\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.\nFamiliarity with standards such as ASME Y14.5, ISO 2768, and MIL-STD-810.\nPrior RF system experience.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
