As a Mechanical Engineer in the Structures and Propulsion organization your duties will include supporting the design, manufacture, procurement and test for the structure subcomponents and assemblies, either in an oversight role for supplier-provided components, or as a direct production interface for in-house components. This job requires coordinating with customers, suppliers, test facilities, and other related disciplines including manufacturing, subcontracts, quality, structure design, analysis, systems engineering, and integration with affected subsystems and facilities. Other duties may include,\nAssist on the conceptual development, requirements definition, and design of propulsion components\nMaintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical analyses necessary to support systems and components\nResearches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering or related degree, or combination of experience and education.\nSolid understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals including structures, or mechanisms or materials.\nProficiency in industry standard CAD (Creo, Catia, AutoCad or similar) software\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nUS citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance\nDesired Skills\nKnowledge of GD&T.\nHands on Hardware experience\nAdditive manufacturing experience\nFlight Hardware Design experience\nKnowledge of manufacturing processes and documentation, including SAP, Q-notes, test procedures, etc.\nFamiliarity/proficiency in supply chain management and subcontracts\nExperience with requirement definition, documentation and verification\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $65500.00 - $121700.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
