They will be responsible for developing requirements, bringing compliant designs to reviews, into test flights and into long range production efforts, leading a team of strong commodity level CPEs as a delegate to the Sturctures Subystem CPE, ensuring program Technical Performance Measures (TPM) are met and delivering hardware within the programs cost and schedule constraints.\nNote: US citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance is required.\nAs a Subsystem CPE Delegate on the FBM Life Extension 2 (LE2) program, you will:\nIntegrate the team of commodity CPE’s through common design methodology under delegation to the Structures CPE\nProvide technical inputs on the vehicle configuration, structures design, fabrication approaches, test configurations and certifications of hardware against requirements at various maturity levels\nCollaborate with manufacturing facilities to ensure fabrication and test readiness\nCollaborate with Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) for full system configurations and test.\nProvide technical inputs in required data products, proposals, and Technical Interchange Meetings\nReview structure configuration and compliance against requirements using 3D models, drawings and GD&T\nCollaborate with manufacturing engineers throughout build cycle\nExecute in a fast-paced environment\nCreate and communicate at various program reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, Working Groups, etc.\nEffectively communicate to various levels of leadership, inclusive of Navy counterparts, both technical and non-technical\nThe information below reflects the standard job description for this position\nManages the research, planning, design and development of mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Directs application of research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.\nBasic Qualifications\nPrevious experience as a Certified Principle Engineer (CPE), or similar (Cognizant Engineer, Responsible Engineer, etc), with direct technical ownership of hardware\nRelevant education and experience as a Mechanical Engineer, or similar, in a design, manufacturing, production, or related role\nProven self-starter with demonstrated capability to proactively work through difficult technical design constraints\nAbility to obtain a Top-Secret clearance\nDesired Skills\n8+ years of experience designing, fabricating and/or testing composite structure, metallic structure and large assembly structures\nDemonstrated performance of being part of program development reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)\nExperience with frequent customer and leadership interface\nExperience with Model Based Engineering Practices\nExperience with test planning and execution\nProject management knowledge with Risks and Opps, Earned Value, schedule inputs, estimating resources\nExperience with manufacturing and Design for X\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
