Your duties will include responsibility for the leading design, manufacture, procurement and test for components and sub-systems. This job requires coordinating with customers, suppliers, test facilities, and other related fields including manufacturing, subcontracts, quality, structures, propulsion, harnessing and avionics design, analysis, systems engineering and integration with each affected subsystems and facilities.\nOther responsibilities may include:\nDeveloping, communicating, statusing and leading project implementation plans\nReviewing requirements, from various sources (performance, instrumentation, dynamics, stress, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products.\nProviding frequent interaction and support collaboration with program stakeholders, analysts, subject matter experts, peers, configuration management, and manufacturing, to ensure program requirements and schedules are met.\nSpace and Missile Propulsion and/or Ordnance Subsystem Integration\nGuiding the conceptual development, requirements definition, and design of ordnance components.\nPerforming trade studies to select the appropriate design solution\nProviding requirements flow-down, verification, and maintaining technical baseline at the suppliers.\nEvaluating, selecting and then owning the technical aspects of the in-house build and/or procurement from the selected supplier(s).\nMentoring and coaching early career engineers.\nThe information below reflects the standard job description for this position:\nResearches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
