Standard Job Description Manages the research, planning, design and development of mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Directs application of research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines. Being a valued member of the Mechanisms Engineering organization, your responsibilities may include some of the following: Utilize Full Spectrum Leadership to directly lead a team of engineers to research, design, analyze, and develop innovative components, assemblies, and systems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical rigor and timely delivery.
