This role is critical to ensuring aircraft airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and operational safety. The specialist will perform launch/recovery operations, preventive maintenance, detailed inspections, and FAA-compliant repairs while maintaining the highest standards of safety and documentation. Flexibility in scheduling and a commitment to team collaboration are essential.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform aircraft launch and recovery procedures per Part 91 and FAA regulations\nConduct preventive maintenance services and component installations/exchanges\nExecute scheduled and unscheduled inspections (annual, 100-hour, progressive, phase inspections)\nDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair airframe and powerplant systems on Gulfstream aircraft\nInterpret and apply federal aviation regulations (FARs), aircraft maintenance manuals, and company maintenance programs\nEnsure all maintenance actions, discrepancies, and compliance documentation meet FAA and internal audit standards\nCoordinate with the maintenance team to optimize aircraft availability and minimize downtime\nAdhere to safety protocols and participate in safety risk management and hazard identification activities\nProvide technical guidance and support to junior mechanics and maintenance staff as needed\nRequired Qualifications:\nCurrent FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate (required)\n3-5+ years of maintenance experience on Gulfstream or large-corporate aircraft (preferred but not exclusive)\nProven ability to read, interpret, and apply FAA regulations and manufacturer maintenance documentation\nStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with experience using maintenance tracking software\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nMust be willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and on-call availability\nMust be willing to travel as needed to support maintenance operations and transient aircraft\nPreferred Qualifications:\nInspection Authorization (IA) certificate\nType certification or type rating maintenance experience on Gulfstream aircraft (G650, G550, G450, etc.)\nAvionics, composite, or engine overhaul experience\nPrior experience in a Part 145/AMO or corporate aviation maintenance environment\nMilitary aviation maintenance background\nAdditional Requirements:\nAssigned to a flex 40-shift schedule with rotating days/nights/weekends as operational needs dictate\nWork environment: Hangar, shop floor, and flight line exposure\nSchedule flexibility to support flight department needs, including holidays and unscheduled maintenance events\nMust have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with the team.\nBasic Qualifications\nAbility to troubleshoot, repair and service Lockheed Martin Corporate aircraft and engine systems and may be responsible for inspection.\nAbility to Interpret and use various test equipment and work from wiring diagrams and maintenance manuals.\nAbility to maintain FAA required records, manuals, and inspection forms. (May fuel and detail the aircraft.)\nOversee aircraft inspections and maintenance on Corporate aircraft(s) to ensure adherence to FAA and manufacturers requirements and guidelines.\nDesired Skills\nSpecific Skills / Qualifications Include:\nMust hold a valid FAA Airframe and Power-Plant (A&P) Certification.\nPossess a valid driver’s license with good driving record.\nMinimum of five (5) years Gulfstream aircraft maintenance experience preferred.\nInspection Authorization (IA preferred)\nMust be knowledgeable of Federal Aviation Regulation’s appropriate to this position.\nPerform scheduled and/or unscheduled maintenance on company aircraft as necessary to maintain aircraft in an airworthy condition.\nDiagnose airframe, engine and avionics system problems as reported by flight crews or discovered through routine servicing as required to maintain airworthiness.\nDocument accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections or other work performed on company aircraft in accordance with FAA FAR’s and established company procedures.\nAbility to operate and maintain test equipment, tools and hangar facilities to company standards.\nFlightSafety International Training on Gulfstream G650, G550 and G280 aircraft.\nTravel with aircraft and perform flight technician duties, as required.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $69400.00 - $128800.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
