In this role you will manage the daily calibration/production efforts for the Technical Services Building, provide guidance and support to subordinates, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders as needed to achieve collective goals.\nResponsibilities will also include:\nCoordinating subordinate employee training, performance assessment, work assignment, and recognition/disciplinary actions.\nProduction management, metrics development/tracking, and leading process improvement efforts.\nConcern and problem resolution with calibration laboratory internal and external stakeholders.\nManages the development and evaluation of calibration systems that measure characteristics of objects, substances, or phenomena, such as length, mass, time, temperature, electric current, luminous intensity, and derived units of physical or chemical measure. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Directs the development of calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems and accuracy and precision requirements.\nProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education.\nPrevious experience managing calibration facility certified to NAVSEA requirements and/or accredited to ISO/IEC 17025.\nProficiency in MS Office.\nUS Citizenship required and ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.\nDesired Skills\nDesired skills:\n5+ years leadership experience with medium to large groups of hourly and/or non-exempt personnel.\n5+ years managing a calibration laboratory; NAVAIR/NAVSEA management experience is a plus.\nProven ability to guide/train technicians in multiple disciplines including dimensional/length, temperature, mass, torque, and general electronics.\nProven analytical skills, metrics, cost for lab and ability to operate/track within budget.\nPMEL/TMDE education background or related military training experience\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
