Reporting to the Production Manager, the supervisor ensures that assembly functions operate cohesively to meet schedule, quality, cost, and safety objectives. This role blends hands-on technical oversight with comprehensive people-management, driving continuous improvement and fostering a high-performance culture.\nProduction Leadership\nDirect daily operations of multiple functional work cells (machining, sub-assembly, tooling & die, packaging).\nDevelop and maintain the build schedule; monitor progress and adjust resources to achieve on-time delivery.\nEnsure compliance with Lockheed Martin manufacturing standards, engineering change directives, and configuration control.\nPeople Management\nSupervise 20-30 hourly associates across functional areas.\nConduct performance assessments, provide coaching, and administer recognition or disciplinary actions as needed.\nProcess & Quality Assurance\nOversee work-instruction adherence, tooling readiness, and equipment calibration.\nPartner with Quality Assurance to resolve non-conformances, drive root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.\nResource & Cost Management\nManage labor allocation, overtime, and shift coverage to balance productivity and cost.\nReview and approve labor and material cost reports; identify cost-saving opportunities.\nSafety & Compliance\nEnforce Lockheed Martin safety policies, OSHA regulations, and aircraft-specific safety standards.\nConduct regular safety briefings, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.\nCross-Functional Coordination\nLiaise with Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, and Program Management to align build plans with design changes, supplier deliveries, and program milestones.\nParticipate in weekly production reviews, providing status updates and risk-mitigation plans.\nSuccess Metrics\nOn-time delivery of aircraft build milestones.\nTarget labor productivity (hours per aircraft).\nSafety performance (Zero Lost-Time Incidents)\nPlease Note: This is a Second Shift role.\nWHO YOU ARE\nYou are a leader with a proven track record of guiding teams toward operational excellence and a commitment to maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards.
