Monitors network health, responds to alerts, and performs initial troubleshooting to quickly isolate and resolve outages or performance issues. Escalates complex problems to senior engineers as needed while ensuring timely restoration of network services.\nMaintains day-to-day network operational readiness by executing routine tasks such as configuration checks, system verifications, and basic hardware or software updates under established procedures. Ensures all operational network documentation remains accurate, complete, and compliant with configuration management (CM) requirements.\nSupports ongoing sustainment activities by tracking system changes, updating topology diagrams and procedures, and assisting with validation of approved modifications. Contributes to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and documenting lessons learned for the engineering team.\nBasic Qualifications\nExperience with Juniper and Cisco routers and switches, VLANs, firewalls, and general network administration.\nFamiliarity with DISA STIGs and secure configuration/hardening practices.\n\nFoundational knowledge of network design, TCP/IP, and routing protocols.\n\nStrong communication skills and ability to work within engineering teams; proficiency with Visio, SPLIT, or similiar tools.\n\nSecurity+ Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)\nActive DoD Secret clearance required\nDesired Skills\nExperience with SolarWinds or similar network monitoring and management platforms.\n\nKnowledge of classified network environments, COMSEC, and TACLANE encryptors.\n\nOperating system experience with Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.\n\nCertifications in Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto technologies.\n\nAbility to work effectively in agile, collaborative engineering teams.\n\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
