Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) or related discipline or equivalent professional experience\nMinimum of 10+ years work experience in Network Engineering\nPrior experience with satellite ground systems design, development, or integration & test\nDemonstrated communications skills (verbal and written) with the ability to prepare and present program status to management and customers\nAn Active Secret clearance to start (Must be a US citizen).\nDesired Skills\nExperience working in an Agile I&T environment, including tools such as Jira and Confluence\nExperience designing and documenting network architectures\nExperience working with Cisco Router and Switch hardware products and IOS\nExperience with IP Multicast and related protocols like IGMP, PIM\nExperience with layer 3 networking and tunneling and related protocols like BGP, GRE, IPSec, DMVPN, L3VPN\nDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot network problems\nDeliver effective customer presentations that include performance results, schedule status, and corrective action details\nActive Secret clearance or higher\nSupport occasional business travel (up to 25%)\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
