If you’re motivated, curious and ready to learn, we’d love to hear from you!\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform simple and complex (low risk) procurement activities including sourcing, negotiating and purchasing.\n Support supplier identification, sourcing and management for a wide range of commodity and service types.\nSource, negotiate and purchase materials, equipment, parts, services and supplies as required.\nPrepare and manage procurement processes through to delivery, including tracking orders, verifying delivery, approving payment, and maintaining necessary records.\nEnter procurement data records into the system/s of record and internal tracking tools in accordance with company processes and procedures.\nLiaise with external suppliers to resolve queries and issues and expedite orders as required in a timely and professional manner.\nNegotiate with suppliers and analyse suppliers operations to establish factors that affect prices to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and ability to meet required schedules.\nMonitor performance of suppliers and escalate any issues for resolution as they arise.\nProvide updated supplier details to internal stakeholders to support the maintenance of the Preferred Supplier List (PSL).\nAssist in the preparation of procurement data required by other stakeholders, and produce periodic and adhoc reports related to procurement. \nWhat you will bring\nWillingness to learn and adapt\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar productivity tools \nAttention to detail and organisational skills \nCollaborative teamwork mindset - able to work with cross-functional colleagues\nBasic procurement knowledge - familiarity with the purchasing cycle (issue of RFQ, PO, invoice, payment).\nContractual awareness - understanding of terms, conditions, and risk mitigation in vendor agreements.\nSupplier relationship management - ability to communicate proactively and build rapport with external partners.\nAnalytical aptitude - comfortable comparing pricing, performing simple cost-benefit analysis, and spotting discrepancies.\nData-management skills - experience with spreadsheets or procurement-related database\nAbout Lockheed Martin\nLockheed Martin is a dynamic organisation, providing stimulating and challenging opportunities with a global team of over 122,000 professionals.
