Candidates currently studying towards a relevant qualification will also be considered.\nWe welcome enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn, embrace new challenges, build strong relationships and grow their skills in a supportive and collaborative fast-paced environment.\nIf you’re motivated, curious and ready to take the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you!\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform simple and complex (low risk) tactical procurement activities including RFQ raising, PO issue, Quotation management, reporting and other associated purchasing related activities.\n Support supplier identification, engagement, on-boarding and management for a wide range of indirect commodities and services.\nSource and purchase materials, services and supplies as required to meet set schedules.\nAdhere to procurement processes and policies through to delivery, including tracking orders, verifying delivery, approving payment, and maintaining necessary records.\nEnter procurement data records into the system/s of record and internal tracking tools in accordance with company processes and procedures.\nLiaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and issues and expedite orders as required and in a timely and professional manner.\nNegotiate with suppliers to establish factors that affect prices to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability and ability to meet required schedules.\nMonitor performance of suppliers and escalate any issues for resolution as they arise.\nProvide updated supplier details to internal stakeholders to support the maintenance of the Approved Supplier List (ASL).\nAssist in the preparation of procurement data required by other stakeholders, and produce periodic and ad hoc reports related to procurement. \nWhat you will bring\nProficient in applying purchasing or procurement concepts within a large-scale organisation\nCollaborative teamwork mindset - able to work with cross-functional colleagues\nBasic purchasing or procurement knowledge - familiarity with the purchasing life-cycle (issue of RFQ, PO, invoice, payment)\nContractual awareness - understanding of basic terms, conditions\nSupplier relationship management - ability to communicate proactively and build rapport with external partners\nWillingness to learn and adapt\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar productivity tools \nAttention to detail and organisational skills \nAnalytical aptitude - comfortable comparing pricing, performing simple cost-benefit analysis, and spotting discrepancies\nData-management skills - experience with spreadsheets or procurement-related database\n\nAbout Lockheed\nLockheed Martin is a dynamic organisation, providing stimulating and challenging opportunities with a global team of over 122,000 professionals.
