Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.\n_______________________________________________________________\nThis position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Herndon, VA, and be expected to work in the office, as well as needing to travel up to ~50% of the time.\nBasic Qualifications\nTo be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:\nBS in a STEM field (i.e., Aerospace, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, other),\n15+ years of related technical and/or program management experience,\nPrior experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) and/or Earned Value Management(EVM) experience,\nDemonstrated expereince as a leader of leaders,\nYou will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET clearance; with ability to get a TS/SCI /w Poly clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.\nDesired Skills\nTo be effective, ideally, you should also have:\nDemonstrated experience leading a small or large portfolio of programs to success and growth,\nTransformative leadership to drive efficiencies and technology advancements on programs,\nDemonstrated business acumen with history of delivering to cost and schedule commitments ,\nDemonstrated Full Spectrum Leadership capabilities and performance,\nStrong executive presence and ability to influence customers to balance risk, cost, and schedule,\nExperience with DOD and IC Customers, Program Offices and Stakeholders,\nPrior experience in one or more of the following:Customer directed level of effort (LOE), fixed price and go fast contracts\nCyber defensive and offensive technical experience and knowledge\nAgile release software development\nManagement of subcontractors\n\nExperience leading a team in a fast paced environment supporting multiple programs,\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly adjust to changing priorities,\nAbility to effectively communicate orally and in writing with senior leadership, customers and stakeholders,\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail,\nProven track record of establishing relationships with customers and other stakeholders.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $180000.00 - $325000.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
