The Payload Program Manager, will be responsible for ensuring program needs and engineering-recommended practices are implemented and coordinated consistent with program hardware delivery dates.\nThe Payload Program Manager will oversee SDA antenna/RF subsystem and component design activities, including development of component level and system-level requirements, drawing release, supplier management, production, test, verification, and integration activities.\nThis position emphasizes a ‘systems thinking’ mindset throughout the product lifecycle of RF and digital subsystems and components.\nDirects all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.\nBasic Qualifications\nDemonstrated lead, supervisor or managerial experience.\nStrong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across multiple functions and stakeholders.\nAbility to adapt to evolving requirements and dynamic schedules.\nMust be a US citizen, able to obtain a secret security clearance. \nDesired Skills\nAbility to manage cost, schedule, and technical performance in a program environment.\nExperience with the SDA portfolio or similar aerospace programs.\nFamiliarity with RF, antenna, or microwave subsystem/component design, development, integration, or test.\nUnderstanding of spacecraft flight hardware, including thermal, vibration, shock, and environmental testing.\nExperience with supplier oversight and coordination in a technical program environment.\nKnowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics and program reporting.\nExperience in fast-paced, agile program environments.\nStrong systems thinking and ability to consider technical, cost, and schedule trade-offs across a program lifecycle.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $166900.00 - $309900.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
