The Project Engineer is an individual contributor on the LE2 - Flight Control and Networks team. Work is performed under the direction of senior project engineers and is focused on delivering hardware and software within budget and on schedule. This role blends project management, reporting key development metrics, and driving the team to execute on the plan in a fast-paced, mission-oriented environment.\nKey activities you will accomplish in this role:\nEngage with cross-functional program teams including planning, finance, and engineering to status and drive execution of program plans.\nReport Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics to Senior leadership.\nResolve any technical, financial, or schedule issues that may arise.\nSupport staffing and resource updates.\nTo be effective in this role, you will need:\nWhile no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.\nExperience in different phases of hardware or software development cycles.\n3+ years professional experience as a project manager or similar position.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.\nExperience leading projects, teams, and development efforts.\nExperience in project management principles (Cost/Schedule/Technical).\nExperience with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement).\nYou will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.\nDesired Skills\nExperience leading projects, teams, and development efforts.\nExperience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)\nExperience with Earned Value Management (EVM)\nDemonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope.\nExperience creating objectives and plans for complex engineering development programs.\n3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.\nMissile or space segment experience.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
