The incumbent will formulate engineering programs, ensure product designs meet engineering principles, corporate standards, and customer contract requirements, and manage design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. This role also supports technical development, scheduling, and resolution of engineering design and test issues.\nKey Responsibilities\nProgram Planning & Execution - Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and control mechanisms; monitor progress against milestones and technical baselines.\nDesign Review & Compliance - Review product designs for adherence to engineering principles, LM standards, contract requirements, and specifications; evaluate and approve design changes, specification updates, and drawing releases.\n Technical Coordination - Interface with cross-functional teams (systems, software, test, manufacturing) to resolve design and test problems; track technical issues to closure.\nDocumentation & Reporting - Prepare status reports, risk assessments, and briefings for senior leadership; maintain accurate project documentation in accordance with security classification guidelines.\n Tool Utilization - Apply project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence) and Microsoft Office suite to track tasks, deliverables, and earned-value metrics.\nProcess Improvement - Identify opportunities for process enhancements; support implementation of agile and waterfall methodologies as appropriate.\nBasic Qualifications\nActive SECRET clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI.\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.\nDemonstrated experience managing engineering projects; practical knowledge of project-management tools.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).\nEffective written and oral communication; capable of briefing senior leaders.\nDesired Skills\nFlexibility and determination to learn new skills quickly.\nExperience with process improvement initiatives.\nProficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, or Confluence.\nAbility to work in a team-focused, dynamic environment; accountable and responsible.\nFamiliarity with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.\nKnowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and its application to project tracking.\nExperience creating and maintaining cross-functional schedules.\nPositive, self-starting attitude that overcomes perceived roadblocks.\nUnderstanding of security classification guidelines and handling of classified work.\nSelf-driven; capable of working both independently and collaboratively\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
