As a Mk7 project Engineer you will coordinate planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plan and formulate engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. Additional responsibilites will include working the the missile integration team as the Control Account Manager (CAM) having responsibility for cost, schedule and technical execution. The role will support creation of and maintenance of Integrated Master Schedule activities and will partner with technical team to create and executable baseline. Presenting in program reviews as well as various control boards to internal and external customers will be required. Formal Risk and Opportunity identification, management and tracking are also included in the responsibilities for the postion. Other ad-hoc tasking by program management.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education

Experience with program management, control account management, and earned value management principles (EVM)

Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams

Experience establishing clear vision and objectives for individual work

Must be a US Citizen, Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance

Desired Skills

1+ years experience on the FBM program, or with the Navy SSP Customer

Experience collaborating with a Software development team

Systems engineering principles and practices on a major development program

Payload interfaces and integration

Assembly, integration, and flight test experience

Experience with proposals and capture management

Active Top Secret DoD security clearance

Experience with government budgeting processes, and defense acquisition

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
