This job requires coordinating with customers, suppliers, test facilities, and other related fields including manufacturing, subcontracts, quality, structure design, analysis, systems engineering, and integration with affected subsystems and facilities. Other duties may include,\nSubsystem Integration\nReview conceptual development, requirements definition, and design of propulsion components\nDevelop product performance specifications, statements of work, and supplier data requirements for components\nMaintain engineering drawings, specifications, and technical analyses to support systems and components\nDevelop and provide design solutions, of varying complexity, using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products under the supervision of a senior Propulsion Engineer.\nReview requirements, from various sources (instrumentation, dynamics, stress, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products.\nSupport production meetings and manufacturing & test anomaly/discrepancy resolution\nEvaluate technical aspects of the procurement from the selected hardware supplier\nProvide user documentation and recommendations to data packages to support peer and customer reviews, present analysis data to engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel at technical interchange meetings and design review\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or in related discipline \nExperience with 1st order analysis in fluids, statics and dynamics, heat transfer/ thermal\nExperience with mechanical CAD modeling in CREO or equivalent\nExcellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences\n1+ years of related experience\nDesired Skills\nExperience with propulsion component development and system integration experience\nAbility to collaborate effectively with adjacent fields (systems engineering, electronics, stress/thermal analysis, configuration management, production, test, quality…)\nFamiliar with design for Manufacturability (DFM)\nExperience with supply chain management and subcontracts\nExperience with anomaly management with standard root cause tools (e.g. fishbone or fault tree analysis)\nProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice\n\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
