Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.\nAbout the role\nThe Quality Bids & Proposals Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all Quality-related activities during the bid and proposal process, ensuring customer requirements are accurately understood, costed, planned and incorporated into compliant, competitive proposals.\nWorking closely with Business Development, Programme Management, Production Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering and Quality teams, the role provides quality planning expertise to ensure that all quality obligations, risks, resources and compliance requirements are identified and funded prior to contract award.\nKey Responsibilities\nReview customer requirements, specifications and drawings to determine the quality scope of work.\nDevelop and maintain Quality Basis of Estimates (BOEs), ensuring quality activities are accurately costed and resourced.\nLiaise with Quality SMEs to validate labour hours, inspection requirements and delivery approaches.\nIdentify and document quality-related assumptions, dependencies and exclusions within bid documentation.\nAssess and record quality risks and opportunities, supporting mitigation planning and bid risk reviews.\nIdentify any additional equipment, training, certification, tooling or specialist skills required to fulfil the contract requirements.\nRepresent Quality during bid reviews, approval boards and sign-off activities.\nMaintain and continuously improve the Quality bid response library, standard templates and reusable proposal content.\nSupport cross-functional bid teams to ensure quality requirements are aligned with operational capability and business objectives.\nEnsure all proposed quality activities comply with customer, regulatory and company quality requirements.\nRequired skills, qualifications and experience\nBackground in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance or Manufacturing Quality.\nExperience supporting bids, tenders or proposals within a defence, aerospace or highly regulated industry.\nWorking knowledge of AS9100 and quality management systems.\nAbility to interpret technical specifications, drawings and customer requirements.\nStrong stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills.\nDesired Skills\nExperience developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and resource plans.\nKnowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) and APQP methodologies.\nExperience with SAP or similar ERP systems.\nInternal or Lead Auditor qualification.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3676,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Aerospace Manufacturing","Combat Aircraft","Missiles","Military Satellites"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-28T18:26:50Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"US","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"H-1B filings in 12 months: 1","filings_12m":1,"filings_prev_12m":1,"green_card_filings_12m":0,"median_offered_wage_usd":182500,"route":null,"cap_exempt":false,"checked_at":"2026-10-29T16:27:21+00:00","sources":["US Department of Labor: LCA disclosure data (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3)"],"filings_for_role_12m":0},{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Skilled Worker, Senior or Specialist Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Skilled Worker;
