The successful candidate will be responsible for validating defect dispositions for scrap and vendor returns, analyzing defects for trends and correlations, assisting with and performing root cause analysis and corrective action determination, tracking items to closure and reporting on trends and actions to senior level management.\nTHE WORK\nAs a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in the accurate and prompt disposition of defective material to scrap or return to vendor and process improvements designed to mitigate recurrence. You will work in close collaboration with quality engineering and production operations teams. Our products keep our customers safe and bring them home to their families at night.\nWHO YOU ARE\nYou thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment and are committed to delivering best-in-class products and solutions.\nBasic Qualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.\nExperience in Quality Engineering, specifically in a manufacturing environment \nExperience working with internal and external customers and suppliers\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)\nDesired Skills\nDesired Skills:\nKnowledgeable in surveillance of AS9100 / ISO9001 Quality Management Systems and experience with AS9102 first article inspections or APQP\nTechnical experience with mechanical and/or electrical products, including manufacturing processes, interpretation of technical drawings, and military and industry specifications\nDemonstrated ability to make decisions and set own priorities in a dynamic business environment; self-starter with effective time management skills and ability to work with high level of autonomy\nFamiliarity with data review and analysis to identify and monitor trends\nExperience and familiarity with machining and manufacturing practices\nFamiliarity with both destructive and non-destructive inspection techniques\nLean / Six Sigma / Green Belt / Black Belt experience or CQE, CSQP or CMQ/OE certification\nExperience working in P2P, SAP, Solumina, EPDM and Tableau\nGood communication skills, both oral and written\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
