You will work closely with production sites and Lines of Business to enable a shift from a reactive to a proactive approach during production.\nDuties include, but are not limited to:\nCollaborating with production sites to identify processes where SPC can be effectively deployed.\nManaging the administration and configuration of SPC software for inspection plans (characteristics, tolerance values), user/group access permissions, and automated data management.\nCreating templates and custom reports, and integrating CAD models, ballooned drawings, response protocols, and notification rules.\nDeveloping data visualizations and metrics to support production and root cause investigations.\nEstablishing an SPC framework that promotes knowledge sharing and continuity, and training.\nEstablishing a governance structure, and rigor to ensure consistency across sites.\nDriving strategies, best practices, and standard methodologies to strengthen the Quality Management System (QMS) and mentor emerging engineering talent.\nWhy Join Us? This role offers a unique opportunity to shape quality engineering practices across multiple production sites.\nBasic Qualifications\n Interim Secret clearance required prior to start.\nBachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.\nFamiliarity with the practical application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to interpret drawings and specifications to develop quality standards, methods, work instructions, and procedures for SPC application\nProficiency with Apriso MES, SAP, PLM, and other manufacturing systems.\nStrong data analytics skillset and experience applying quality tools to drive root cause investigations.\nAbility to lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving efforts, strong presentation and communication skills.\nAbility to independently determine solutions, develop and execute action plans, and communicate effectively with leadership.\nDesired Skills\nExtensive manufacturing and shop floor knowledge, including hands-on experience with MES (e.g., Apriso), SAP, and PLM (e.g., Windchill).\nStrong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing practices.\nWorking knowledge and application of problem-solving tools such as PFMEA, FMEA, and 5-Why/root cause investigation.\nAdvanced Statistical Process Control (SPC) skills.\nUnderstanding of Theory of Constraints (TOC) principles as applied to production.\nAbility to assess problems from a systems-level perspective and build compelling presentations and business cases.\nAbility to identify risks, improvement opportunities and quantify business value.\nApplied, hands-on experience using Six Sigma tools and methodology.\nLean Six Sigma certification and/or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) designation.\nStrong aptitude and willingness to learn new tools, systems, and skills.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
