The role bridges concept to production, delivering hardware layouts, prototypes, test methods, and supporting manufacturing through the assembly and test phases. The engineer will also develop RF system/subsystem architectures, perform link analysis, manage performance requirements, and contribute to life-cycle cost, reliability, and maintainability analyses.\nKey Responsibilities\nSystem Architecture & Design\nArchitect and design RF systems and circuitry, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers.\nDevelop RF system/subsystem architectures (antennas, transmitters, receivers, LNAs, HPAs, RF conversion elements, transmission line equipment).\nCircuit & Hardware Development\nDesign and develop RF circuitry for high-frequency and microwave applications.\nPerform hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and testing.\nTesting & Verification\nPrepare test methods, specifications, and procedures.\nAnalyze and test RF hardware to verify performance characteristics.\nIdentify and track RF technical performance measurements (TPMs).\nProduct Development Support\nProvide inputs for formal documentation.\nSupport manufacturing during deliverable assembly and test phases.\nLink Analysis & Optimization\nConduct link analysis, including propagation medium effects and interference sources.\nPerform RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV (Cost, Availability, Interoperability, and Value) analysis.\nLifecycle & Reliability Analysis\nSupport life-cycle cost, reliability, availability, and maintainability analyses.\nCollaboration & Communication\nEngage with senior personnel on significant technical matters.\nWork under general direction, independently completing tasks with critical-point reviews.\nBasic Qualifications\nActive SECRET security clearance with eligibility to obtain TS/SCI.\nMinimum 3+ years of relevant RF engineering experience.\nPost-secondary degree or formal training in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a closely related discipline (BS, MS, or equivalent experience).\nRadar design experience with performance prediction capabilities.\nExperience designing low-frequency RF receiver systems.\nProven experience in detailed design and testing of antenna elements.\nDesired Skills\nDemonstrated comprehensive understanding of RF engineering concepts and related disciplines.\nStrong knowledge of industry standards and company practices.\nAbility to develop practical solutions for complex engineering problems.\nExperience working under general direction, setting assignment objectives, and delivering independently.\nProven ability to influence overall objectives and long-range goals, and to engage effectively with senior leadership.\nExperience with CAIV analysis, life-cycle cost, reliability, and maintainability assessments.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
