The role ensures the availability, performance, and security of the SAP landscape, including sandpit, development, quality assurance, and production environments.\nKey Responsibilities:\n1. SAP Basis Administration\nInstall, configure, upgrade, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, BW, PI, Business Client, SAP SSO).\nPerform SAP system copies, refreshes, and migrations.\nManage SAP kernel upgrades, patches, and support package stack implementations.\nConfigure and maintain SAP Transport Management System (TMS).\nSchedule, monitor, and troubleshoot SAP background jobs.\nAdminister SAP profiles, parameters, and system tuning.\n2. SAP HANA Database Administration\nInstall, configure, and maintain SAP HANA databases.\nMonitor HANA system health, memory usage, and performance metrics.\nApply HANA revisions, patches, and support packages.\nConfigure and manage HANA system replication, backup, and disaster recovery.\nPerform HANA database refreshes, restores, and recoveries.\nTune HANA database performance and manage growth capacity planning.\n3. Linux System Management\nAdminister SUSE Linux servers hosting SAP applications and HANA databases.\nPerform OS-level troubleshooting, patching, and performance tuning.\nManage file systems, disk space, and system logs.\nAutomate tasks using shell scripting and cron jobs.\nEnsure OS-level security and compliance.\n4. Security & Compliance\nMaintain and administer SAP user accounts, roles, and authorisations.\nImplement SAP security best practices for Basis and HANA.\nEnsure compliance with audit and governance policies.\n5. Monitoring & Performance Management\nUse SAP Solution Manager and other monitoring tools to track system performance.\nAnalyse dumps, logs, and performance traces (ST22, SM21, ST03, DBACOCKPIT, SAP HANA Studio).\nTroubleshoot SAP application, database, and interface issues.\nImplement proactive measures to prevent system outages.\n6. Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery\nSchedule and verify SAP and HANA database backups.\nMaintain documentation and procedures for recovery processes.\nTest and maintain disaster recovery environments.\n7.
