Lockheed Martin is the largest defence contractor in the world, formed in 1995 by merging Lockheed Corporation with Martin Marietta and headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland. Its single most important programme is the F-35 Lightning II, the most expensive weapons system ever built, alongside the F-16, the C-130 transport and classified work at the Skunk Works advanced development unit. The company also dominates missile defence with THAAD and PAC-3 interceptors, supplies HIMARS and Javelin systems, owns the helicopter maker Sikorsky, and builds the Orion crew capsule and military satellites through its space division.

  • Support customer invoicing preparation, debtor management, and cash flow tracking.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready records and ensure compliance with financial controls, contract requirements, accounting standards, internal policies and procedures and Defence cost principles.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting as required.
  • Forecast and track ROS% performance, including the assessment and incorporation of adjustments.
  • Review pricing proposals and estimates, ensuring appropriate financial assumptions and methodologies are applied.
  • Apply an understanding of Defence Cost Principles and CASG Profit Principles.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders on finance matters and contribute to the development of solutions for moderately complex issues

What you'll bring:

  • Significant experience in program/project finance, management accounting, or commercial finance environments.
  • CA or CPA qualified, or currently undertaking professional accounting studies.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and financial variances.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver accurate outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing business needs while maintaining a flexible and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
