The incumbent will execute all phases of the software development lifecycle-requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation-under very general supervision. At Lockheed Martin, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers, grow your technical skills, and help shape technologies that support critical missions.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign and implement C/C++ test procedures that verify SRS high-level and SDD low-level software requirements.\nConduct laboratory investigations, troubleshoot software issues, and perform regression analysis to ensure continued compliance.\nDevelop and maintain traceability matrices linking test results to original requirements, ensuring full coverage and auditability.\nCreate detailed test plans, test procedures, and test reports; execute integration, verification, and validation (IV&V) activities in a software-development lab environment.\nDefine external and internal hardware/software interfaces as needed for verification setups; update Interface Control Documents (ICDs).\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, integration/test) to resolve verification findings and drive corrective actions.\nSupport documentation of verification activities and contribute to certification evidence packages.\nParticipate in team planning, status updates, and risk mitigation to meet technical performance, schedule, and cost objectives.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent).\nMinimum 2 years of professional engineering experience or a Master’s degree with no required experience.\nProficiency in C, C++, and/or Python for developing automated test code and scripts.\nKnowledge of system verification/test documentation, test-plan creation, and execution.\nDemonstrated experience developing software verification assets (test code, procedures, traceability) and working with software engineers on design and test of embedded software.\nExperience with the design, integration, and test of systems and software operational programs.\nDesired Skills\nFamiliarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and embedded platforms.\nExperience working on cross-functional teams (Hardware, Software, Integration/Test).\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.\nExcellent verbal and written communication; ability to build strong customer relationships and convey verification results to internal and external stakeholders.\nCurrent active Secret security clearance.\nAbility to work independently on verification tasks while contributing to overall team objectives.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
