Whether your expertise lies in requirements, systems design, architecture, integration or verification, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to capability that directly supports Australia's national security objectives.\nThis is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale Defence program while developing your expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Agile delivery and System-of-Systems engineering.\nKey Responsibilities\nThe Systems Engineer's primary responsibilities include:\nDevelop and manage system and subsystem requirements within a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment\nSupport system architecture, interface definition, integration and verification activities\nProduce engineering artefacts including requirements, design documentation, specifications and trade studies\nCollaborate with engineering teams, SMEs and Defence stakeholders to support capability development and delivery\nContribute to engineering reviews, design activities and technical decision-making processes\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and the adoption of modern engineering practices across the program\nWhat you’ll bring\nTo be successful in this role you will have:\nExperience across the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements, design, integration, verification or validation activities\nExposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, Rhapsody or similar\nExperience working on complex systems within Defence, aerospace, communications or other high-technology environments\nStrong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills\nThe ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams while managing competing priorities\nEngineering degree or equivalent industry experience\nNV1 security clearance and ability to handle Export Controlled information\nProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice\nDon't meet every requirement?\nIf you're excited by this opportunity but don't meet every criterion, we'd still love to hear from you.
