Responsibilities will include, at a minimum, establishing, maintaining, and enforcing technical baselines; track all configuration changes in the CM database; schedule, facilitate, and document CCB meetings; conduct periodic configuration audits and verify compliance with NIST SP guideline; ensure proper handling of export-control markings and documentation formats where applicable.\nThe candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment with frequent and direct interaction with various engineering disciplines and customers. Prior experience in a Configuration/Data Management (CMDM) role is required.\nThe information below reflects the standard job description for this position:\nDevelops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Designs, develops, automates, and maintains productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development. Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use. Develops software configuration standards and policies for company-wide use. Trains software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards. Maintains the Software Configuration Management System including collection or distribution of code documentation, problem report and change request processing, software build documents, and delivery of software products to operational environments. Implements long term organizational objectives for software process improvement (e.g., SEI CMM), compliance with ISO 9000 standards, and software code reuse.\nBasic Qualifications\nMinimum 3 years in a Configuration/Data Management (CMDM) role.\nProficiency with Atlassian suite (Jira, Jira Service Management, ProForma, Confluence).\nFamiliarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and related documentation.\nProven experience working closely with internal and external customers, including subcontractors.\nPrior experience leading Configuration Change Board (CCB) meetings.\nHands-on experience conducting configuration audits and ensuring adherence to NIST SP 800 53, SP 800 171, and SP 800 128 official guidelines.\nActive Secret clearance required to start (Must be a US citizen).\nDesired Skills\nFamiliarity with export-control markings, documentation formatting, and handling.\nExperience managing configuration of both hardware and software assets.\nPrior experience with satellite ground systems design, development, or integration & test\nStrong organizational and detail-oriented skills; ability to create clear status and tracking reports.\nDevelopment and maintenance of custom CM tools (e.g., scripts, macros, dashboards).\nExperience with collaboration platforms: Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Access databases, and additional Atlassian tools.\nKnowledge of ANSI/EIA-649 or equivalent configuration and data-management standards.\nInformation Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations Certified\nProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice\nPay Information\nGeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States.
