With strong mentoring, hands-on experience and genuine opportunities to grow, this role is ideal for graduates and early-career engineers with two or more years of experience in a junior or Graduate role who are looking to build their DevSecOps capability while contributing to a critical Defence program.\nThis opportunity is based in Mawson Lakes, SA.\nKey Responsibilities\nAs Software DevSec Ops Developer, you will:\nDesign, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting the AIR6500 software development lifecycle.\nContribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD and DevSecOps infrastructure supporting automated testing and deployment activities.\nAssist with automating software builds, build verification activities and internal business processes.\nSupport the automation and maintenance of software build status reporting for operational and test releases.\nMonitor and maintain DevSecOps infrastructure, including container orchestration platforms, build agents, monitoring tools and dashboards.\nAssist with the administration, maintenance and support of DevSecOps tools and engineering tool suites.\nSupport the promotion and deployment of software through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).\nWork with developers to identify, troubleshoot and resolve build and deployment issues.\nAssist with implementing best practices for source control, continuous integration and release management.\nSupport the deployment, maintenance and evolution of the 1LMX tool suite.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering tools and DevSecOps environment.\nYou'll work in a collaborative environment where you can have a genuine influence on how software is developed, secured and delivered across a major Defence program.\nWhat you'll bring\nWe're looking for an engineer with strong technical foundations, a passion for automation, and an interest in improving software delivery and engineering processes.\nYou will bring:\nExperience with version and artifact management tools such as GitLab and Nexus.\nExperience with build and continuous integration tools, particularly GitLab.\nExperience with issue tracking and workflow management tools such as Jira.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform and Packer.\nExperience with automation tools and scripting.\nExperience working within Linux environments.\nThe ability to work collaboratively with developers to troubleshoot and resolve build, deployment and integration issues.\nExperience or exposure to containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.\nFamiliarity with MBSE tools such as IBM Jazz and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint.\nFamiliarity with API and web service technologies including REST, SOAP, XML and JSON.\nExposure to virtualisation platforms such as VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon.\nExperience in Defence, engineering or other highly regulated technical environments will be highly regarded.\nProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.\nDon't meet every requirement?\nIf you're excited by this opportunity but don't meet every criterion, we'd still love to hear from you.
