Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.\nKey Responsiblities:\nDesign, development and testing of embedded and windows software products utilized in ground/test equipment.\nPerform software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements, analysis, development, unit test, integration and support to formal test and delivery.\nParticipate in technical reviews and audits of software products.\nThe successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of C, C++ development and Software Configuration Management(SCM) tools such as GitLab and an understanding of Agile methodology using JIRA tools.\n\nMust be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.\nBasic Qualifications\nPreferred Majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering\nPrevious C or C++ experience.\nAbility to obtain a Secret Clearance.\nDesired Skills\nProficient in Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools such as GitLab and and understanding of Agile methodology using JIRA tools.\nPractical knowledge of microcontroller programming and peripheral integration obtained through coursework, an internship, or past job responsibilities.\nFamiliarity with embedded drivers, such as SPI, CAN, USART, and the ability to read and follow hardware schematics.\nExperience with electronic test instruments, including oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, and related equipment.\nExperience with requirements management using tools such as DOORS.\nProficient in UML modeling using CAMEO or similar tools.\nStrong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
