This Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Software Engineer position is with the Lockheed Martin Skunk Works Mission Systems and Software Comms team supporting an ADP program that includes staff distributed between Fort Worth, Texas and Palmdale, California.\nThe selected candidate will be a member within our GNC team, with focus on Navigation and Timing. The job requires use of a wide range of Aeronautical Engineering and Electrical Engineering principles from basic aircraft design, stability/control, guidance, multi-sensor navigation, sensor fusion, estimation, system identification, optimal filtering using EKF/UKFs, etc. to develop algorithms from the fundamentals, generate software from models, integrate, and test hardware/software solutions. Expertise with Matlab/Simulink is required, and embedded software development skills are desired.\nThe selected candidate will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The candidate will have demonstrated effective communication skills as the position will require inter-organizational and outside customer interactions. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction, and integration & test activities is required.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, aeronautical/aerospace engineering, mathematics, or a related technical discipline\nProficiency with Matlab and Simulink software\nWorking knowledge of common programming (C, C++) and/or scripting (lua, python) languages\nExperience with Kalman filter design and application to meet performance requirements\nExperience with GPS technical details and integration\nDesired Skills\nMaster’s degree in electrical engineering, aeronautical/aerospace engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field\nCode generation from Simulink, aerospace embedded software design\nExperience with safety critical software and design practices strongly desired\nKnowledge and experience with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom aerospace navigation system hardware\nPrior experience in a multidisciplinary aerospace development environment\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
