You will also have the flexibility to explore research topics of interest and learn from peers across the lab. Your daily work will adapt to the evolving needs of our programs, allowing you to grow your skill set and directly impact cutting-edge projects that support both commercial and military platforms.\nKey responsibilities will include the following:\nDeveloping, testing, and evaluating Python-based algorithms and software for multi-target tracking, localization, state estimation, and sensor/data fusion.\nApplying filtering, inference, data-association, and signal-processing techniques to recorded and simulated sensor data.\nBuilding simulation environments, data-processing pipelines, analysis tools, and performance-evaluation workflows for complex sensing applications.\nIntegrating prototype algorithms into scalable, maintainable software and larger sensor-system architectures, including CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.\nAnalyzing, debugging, and optimizing tracking software and data-engineering workflows for large-scale sensor-processing and machine-learning data sets.\nCollaborating with researchers, engineers, and domain experts to advance technical solutions, conduct peer reviews, and document designs and results.\nSupporting research, customer-focused technical solutions, technical briefings, and proof-of-concept demonstrations for emerging tracking challenges.\nFurther Information About This Opportunity:\nThis role is heavily onsite at our Cherry Hill NJ location. US Citizenship with eligibility for a US government security clearance is required.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a closely related field.\nDemonstrated ability developing and testing Python software for scientific, technical, or algorithmic applications\nStrong foundation in probability and statistics, linear algebra, and estimation methods, with familiarity or practical experience in signal processing, state estimation, target tracking, or Kalman filtering\nAbility to analyze data, develop and evaluate algorithms, and communicate technical results clearly\nStrong collaboration and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams\nUS Citizenship with eligibility for a US government security clearance is required.\nDesired Skills\nAdvanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a closely related field.\nActive Secret Clearance or higher.\n Algorithms / AnalysisExperience with localization and inference methods from sensor data such as Kalman filters, unscented transforms, and particle filters\nResearch into frontiers of multi-target tracking using random Finite Sets, including Labeled Multi-Bernoulli (LMB) filters; data association through Monte Carlo and stochastic algorithms (e.g., Gibbs samplers); extensions to multi-sensor data fusion and sensor control applications\nProficiency building simulation, analysis, and data-processing tools in Python using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, pandas, pymap3d, and matplotlib\nExperience with optimization, digital signal processing (DSP), detection theory, and wireless sensing, or related signal-processing applications\n\nSoftware DevelopmentFamiliarity with collaborative software-development practices, including Git-based version control, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines\nExperience transitioning algorithms to real-time, including porting performance-critical components to C++ or Rust and interfacing with external systems through pub-sub messaging frameworks\n\n Research & InnovationExperience working research projects on state-of-the-art technologies (e.g., Counter UAS, next-gen electronic support)\n\n General / Domain AwarenessUnderstanding of primary mission areas: Electronic Warfare (EW) and Electronic Support Measures (ESM)\nExperience with radar and other sensing systems\n\nPay Information\n$75000.00 - $142760.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
