Prior experience as a Systems or Software engineer with extensive domain knowledge of ground systems, networks, and integration & test of enterprise software products is required. This role will also serve as the CAM and technical team lead for development of the ground segment. In addition, the selected candidate will manage the software development, operations and sustainment activites across a portfolio of deep space, weather, and commercial programs.\nThe information below reflects the standard job description for this position:\nManages software development activities. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees the design, development, documentation, and testing of software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Ensures software standards are met.\nBasic Qualifications\nGround Systems or Software Engineering experience with at least one of:\nRequirements, CONOPS, ICD, or Architecture\nDetailed knowledge and understanding of systems engineering process\nPrior experience with spacecraft ground systems design, development, integration, and test\nExperience with NASA spacecraft ground data systems\nExperience working in an Agile I&T environment, including tools such as Jira and Confluence\nExperience with planning and CAM duties for a product development.\nExperience leading a technical team from requirement development through flight operations.\nDesired Skills\nExperience supporting Engineering technical performance objectives and deliverables (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR)\nExperience working with different engineering disciplines to derive, decompose and verify requirements\nStrong knowledge of modern technology frameworks, IP networking, APIs, and data architecture\nExperienced in software development using programming and scripting languages\nExperience working in a fast-paced environment with technical teams\nExcellent verbal & written communication skills\nDemonstrated performance working with a customer to define requirements and find solutions that meet their needs\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $166900.00 - $309900.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
