This role bridges the gap between high-level system requirements and detailed software development.
The Software Systems Engineer will
- Decompose software requirements from systems and component requirements.
- Use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to define, design, and
maintain complex system architectures using Cameo Systems Modeler (MagicDraw).

Develops and publishes corporate business automation plans using cost-effective delivery technologies in support of major corporate strategies. Performs complex software design activities integrating multiple technologies. Provides architectural guidelines for all software design activities to current and future technological environments. Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge of technologies, planning, design, and analysis methodologies. Responsible for the design and architectural guidelines for current and future software technological activities.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in one or more Systems Engineering functions, such as:
a.) Subsystem design or analysis
b.) System or Software modeling
c.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development
- US Citizenship required. Final secret clearance needed to start.
Desired Skills
- Clearance: Active secret or above security clearance
- Systems engineering experience or relevant systems engineering training through a university or certificate program
- Familiarity or proficiency in Cameo Systems Modeler / Cameo Enterprise Architecture or equivalent.
- Familiarity or proficiency with writing requirements. Experience with DOORs a plus.
- Experience with DOD Software CDRL Development
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, synergetic team environment.
- Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00

- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
