We seek an experienced Network Engineer to join the Classified IT Center of Excellence (CoE). In this fast-paced, innovation-driven environment, the incumbent will:\nDesigns and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.\nPerform routine updates, major upgrades, patching, and vulnerability scanning\nMaintain asset inventory and ensure hardware/software lifecycle compliance\nEnforce Lockheed Martin and DoD policies, including STIG and RMF requirements\nImplement security hardening, remediate findings, and conduct technical security implementations\nProvide timely resolution of infrastructure issues (hardware, software, networking)\nUpdate Service Central tickets, JIRA issues, and Confluence pages with accurate status, work-performed details, and any changes to scope, priority, or assignment; attach relevant artifacts and ensure traceability to requirements or incidents.\nCoordinate with stakeholders (customers, engineers, and support leads) to verify resolution, close tickets or issues promptly, and communicate any follow-up actions or documentation updates across all three platforms.\nDesign and implement innovative technical solutions to complex problems\nSupport classified customer demonstration environments and lab testbeds, ensuring readiness and performance for stakeholder reviews\nDocument system configurations, procedures, and lessons learned\nMentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge-base growth\nParticipate in a 24 × 7 on-call rotation; work off-shift hours and weekends as needed\nWork onsite full-time with occasional travel to other Lockheed Martin facilities or customer sites\nBasic Qualifications\nUS Citizenship is required for this position\nActive DoD Clearance\nAbility and willingness to attain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access.\nActive DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certifications (i.e. Security +, CISSP, CASP)\n3+ years of Network Admin or System Admin experience (including VoIP Admin experience); installations, configuration, and troubleshooting, and design.\nExperience with network virtualization concepts\nFirewall experience (Preferably Palo Alto)\nDesired Skills\nExperience with network virtualization technologies NSX-V, NSX-T, Cisco ACI\nExperience with SD-WAN Technology\nExperience with IoT and Identity Management\nExperience with API, scripting (preferably Python)\nFamiliarity Ansible Tower\nFamiliarity with NIST SP 800-37 RMF System Lifecycle\nSolarWinds/SNMP experience\nGeneral Dynamic encryptor experience\nGeneral Dynamic TACLANE/GEMONE experience\nCCNA, CCNP or PCNSA\nWindows Server administration\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
