The incumbent will execute all phases of the software development lifecycle-requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation-under very general supervision. At Lockheed Martin, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers, grow your technical skills, and help shape technologies that support critical missions.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, and ≥ 9 years of professional experience or a Master’s degree with ≥ 7 years of experience.\nDemonstrated expertise in embedded software-systems engineering, full-life-cycle development, hardware-software integration, and software architecture/design.\nAbility to travel occasionally (≈ 4-6 times per year) and to communicate effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders.\nDesired Skills\nExpertise in multiple programming languages (C/C++, Python, C#) and software-architecture patterns.\nStrong background in Agile Scrum, serving as Scrum Master or Product Owner (certification preferred).\nExperience with DO-178C, safety-critical development, and model-based engineering (MBSE, SysML/UML).\nAbility to mentor junior engineers and lead small development teams.\nExcellent stakeholder communication and presentation skills for inter-organizational and customer engagements.\nBackground in MBSE, SysML/UML, and modeling tools (Cameo, Rhapsody).\nHands-on DevSecOps experience: CI/CD pipelines, static code analysis, unit testing, automated test environments, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).\nDO-178C compliance, safety-critical development, and automated testing for embedded systems.\nProven technical leadership of multi-site, multidisciplinary software teams; Scrum Master/Product Owner certifications preferred.\nExcellent presentation, negotiation, and customer-relationship management skills; experience with CAM/proposal development a plus.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $135700.00 - $251900.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
