The MSP team integrates major changes into the Orion technical baseline, starting from the proposal process through contract execution.\nIn this role, you will:\nDevelop and manage integration plans for new hardware, software, or interface design changes and capability upgrades to the Orion system\nLead the technical implementation of major changes into the design baseline\nPerform project management for Mission Support Packages by driving the cost, schedule and technical performance to closure\nCoordinate development of Interface Requirements Documents (IRDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs) with external NASA customer and with internal teams\nSupport systems/hardware/software integration, test planning and execution\nPerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.\nBasic Qualifications\nWorking knowledge of Systems Engineering methods and processes\nBachelors or higher degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience.\nDemonstrated expertise in one or more of the following Systems Engineering sub-disciplines:Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)\nRequirements development\nRequirement Verification\nInterface management\nRisk and opportunity management\n\nDesired Skills\nPrior experience on Orion or other Human Space Flight programs\nStrong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success working in a team environment\nAbility to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members\nAbility to operate in a fast-paced environment with component, subsystem, and system levels\nExperience interfacing and working collaboratively with NASA\nDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex design information, technical decisions and issues to an audience with varied technical backgrounds\nProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice\nPay Information\nGeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States.
