And we’re reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.\nJoin us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you.\nAbout the Role:\nAs a Systems Engineer V (Sr Staff) on the THAAD Missile SEIT Project Integration team, you will be the Systems Engineering lead for Next Generation Mission Computer (NGMC).\nIn this role, you will:\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors\nLead Systems Engineering activities including managing technical scope, schedule, and execution\nWork with software, hardware, systems integration and test team\nOrganize and support major program reviews for subsystem, including SRR, PDR, CDR, TIMs\nManage schedule and technical performance of the control account\nSuccessful applicants generally have at least 12+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution\nThe information below reflects the standard job description for this position:\nPerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.\nBasic Qualifications\nSkill Requirements:\nSystems Engineering expertise in the areas of system design, systems integration, and test, with demonstrated experience performing hardware/software integration\nWorking knowledge of the full systems engineering lifecycle\nProven ability to coordinate and manage cross-functional efforts across technical and programmatic teams and supplier\nKnowledge or experience with missile, defense, aerospace, or related systems\nSecurity Clearance / Work Authorization:\nTo meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.\nAn Interim Secret security clearance is required to start employment.\nAlthough not required to start, the selected applicant must be eligible to obtain, and maintain, Secret for long term employment on this program\nDesired Skills\nExperience in managing Systems Engineering projects for electronics integrated with software\nExperience in coordinating with software, integration, and test team to test and release electronics with software for flight\nExperience in Systems reviews\nFamiliarity working with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) customers\nActive Secret Clearance\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $161300.00 - $299500.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
