This includes leading efforts to:\nMaintain and manage the requirements baseline\nMaintain and manage the system test plan and integration efforts\nMaintain and manage the system architecture model and associated artifacts and design description documents\nEstablish and track Program Technical Performance Measures (TPMs)\nConduct systems engineering technical and readiness reviews\nLead the verification and validation planning and execution\nPartner with the program manager, Chief engineer, other IPT leads to enable successful program execution.\nEstablish and promote the necessary culture for program success\nThis position is contingent on program award expected in 3Q 2026\nPerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelors Degree in Engineering-related field\n15 years of Systems Engineering Experience across a range of programs and lifecycle phases\nStrong systems integration experience\nExperience with working either Communications programs (or programs that have communications as a key aspect of the overall mission)\nExperience working Space programs that include Satellite and Ground\nExperience with both program and functional leadership\nStrong communication skills\nExperience with Digital Engineering and/or MBSE\nDemonstrated understanding of Risk and Opportunity Management\nExperience across multiple program lifecycle phases\nPossess Secret Clearance; able to get SCI clearance\nDesired Skills\nMasters Degree in Engineering\n20+ years of experience\nAbility to influence cross functional teams, resolve conflicts, and present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nExperience as Chief System Engineer or Chief Engineer through the entire lifecycle of a development program\nDevelopment program management experience\nRecognized as an authority in the implementation of System Engineering processes and command media, with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of sophisticated problems and train others in their application\nSW Development, Integration, and testing experience (to include requirements and interface definition)\nExperience with Digital, RF, and Optical Technologies\nExperience with baseline management and change control processes\nFixed-price contract execution experience\nExperience implementing Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) on a development program\nExperience as a leader of leaders\nActive TS/SCI clearance\nProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $198400.00 - $368400.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
