This role is focused on combat system integration with the SPY-6 radars, including facilitating the development and integration of radar-associated Combat System capabilities. Early in a program, the role focuses in on requirements development and systems engineering aspects, laying the foundation for software development where necessary, and laying a framework for test. During software development, radar integration engineers will need to be aware of schedule alignment between combat system and radar software and participate in discussions on resolving design disconnects between the radar and combat system. During system test, radar integration engineers exercises radar related combat system capabilities including data analysis, defect resolution, and mission data reviews. Also, though this role does not directly involve radar software development, having a strong knowledge of radar systems or similar knowledge areas (wireless/communication systems) is very beneficial in being able to have detailed technical discussions with the radar community, including Technical Warrant Holders and highly experienced SMEs, during both design development and defect resolution discussions.\nResponsibilites include:\nSupport radar integration and test, evaluate test results, investigate issues, provide technical assessment of defects, and drive issues to resolution\nSupport capability planning, design/development, and review meetings with internal leadership and external stakeholders\nDevelop, review, and support implementation of necessary updates in the radar/combat system interface\nProvide systems engineering and software development guidance for radar related combat system capabilities\nDevelop and review requirements for radar system capabilities and integration\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, systems engineering or computer engineering with equivalent minimum of 2 years' professional experience\nExperience performing systems engineering for capability development to support element integration\nBasic understanding of electromagnetic and wireless transmission/communication principles\nProficiency with MATLAB and Python for data analysis\nAbility to obtain & maintain a DoD security clearance at the SECRET level (U.S. Citizenship required)\nAvailability to travel domestically and/or internationally as required by the supported program\nFlexibility to work non-standard work shifts as required by the supported program\nDesired Skills\nRequirements management and use of requirements management and modeling tools (e.g. Jazz, DOORS, Cameo)\nBasic understanding of radar principles, radar systems design and radar frequency propagation\nExperience in software development with radar systems\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nExperience integrating and/or testing radar or wireless communication systems\nExperience with cross organizational collaboration and facilitating working groups with diverse stakeholders\nPay Information\n$75000.00 - $142760.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
