You will drive package-level test planning and events, and ensure that each telemetry block reaches the required performance and safety maturity before it is incorporated into the full system.\nTelemetry is the “eyes and ears” of any flight-termination system. Ensuring these subsystems are rigorously tested, validated, and ready for flight safeguards mission success and national security. As the senior I&T engineer, you will directly influence the reliability and performance of the data path that informs critical abort decisions.\nCore Responsibilities\nPackage Integration\nDefine, Document, and Test telemetry hardware (RF front-end, modulators, digital processors) with power, data, and mechanical interfaces.\nVerify electrical and mechanical interface compliance (pin-outs, connector standards, mounting tolerances, EMI/EMC limits).\nTest Planning & Execution\nAuthor detailed Package Test Plans and Reports that trace back to requirements\nEnsure test site readiness for test execution.\nTravel as necessary to support testing.\nData Collection & Analysis\nCapture data & analyze performance metrics\nGenerate Test Readiness Review (TRR) packages for each milestone.\nFailure Analysis and Corrective Action execution.\nThe information below reflects the standard job description for this position\nPlans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.\nBasic Qualifications\nExperience with the following:\nIntegrating a technical product line and facilitating collaboration among stakeholders to drive project success\nDemonstrated ability to drive technical decisions.\nSystem integration, fault management, test and/or verification\nTest planning and execution with an understanding of interdependencies\nExcellent written and oral communication; proven ability to convey technical concepts to internal stakeholders and customers. \nFinal Secret Security Clearance to start; the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance\nAbility to travel to U.S. locations to support events as necessary. Up to 25%.\nDesired Skills\nDegree in Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or related field. \nExperience with satellite or launch-vehicle telemetry payloads.\nTelemetry-specific knowledge - RF design, link budget analysis, data-format standards (e.g., CCSDS, TM/TC protocols), antenna pointing/control systems.\nTest instrumentation - Spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, BER testers, and data-acquisition hardware.\nSoftware & simulation - Proficiency with HIL platforms (e.g., NI LabVIEW, dSPACE), real-time operating systems, and scripting for automated test execution.\nExperience with System trade studies, CONOPS, constraints and/or system modeling\nExperience with Standards compliance - Range Safety, MIL-STD-461, Safety Critical Verification processes.\nDocumentation & traceability - Ability to produce requirement-traceable test artifacts and maintain configuration control.\nFamiliarity with model-based engineering (SysML, Cameo) and Agile/SAFe execution frameworks.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills\nCustomer-focused mindset and stakeholder management\nTechnical excellence and attention to detail \nProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice\nStrategic thinking and risk-based decision making\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
