This position directs multidisciplinary teams responsible for software, hardware, database, visual, and DMO engineering as well as Test & Evaluation (T&E), Configuration Management (CM), and Sustainment Logistics Engineering (SLE). The manager ensures delivery of compliant, integrated, and high-quality Aircrew and Maintenance Training Device solutions across all sites.\nManage end-to-end system integration and testing for in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, subsystems, and full systems.\nTranslate contractual and customer requirements into achievable engineering and system test solutions.\nOversee development and execution of system and subsystem test plans, procedures, and schedules.\nLead the engineering organization responsible for software, hardware, and database engineering of all JMATS ATDs/MTDs.\nEnsure product baselines remain common across all sites; manage DC engineering, acceptance testing, sustainment support, and baseline maintenance.\nDirect Test & Evaluation engineering policies, test execution, simulator certification activities, and Government coordination.\nOversee Configuration Management, including software/hardware baselines, change tracking, reporting, and documentation.\nDirect Sustainment Logistics Engineering for obsolescence management, risk mitigation, and technology refresh planning.\nProvide leadership to Visual Systems Engineering and DMO Engineering for system development, upgrades, integration, testing, and technology evaluation.\nOversee Engineering Liaison operations, ensuring compliance with RMF, system administration, SIMCERT interface, and IT system sustainment.\nManage workforce functions including recruiting, training, performance management, assignments, recognition, and disciplinary actions.\nRepresent engineering at program management reviews, budget meetings, technical reviews, and customer forums.\nPefforms other duties as directed.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Software, Electrical, Systems, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or related field).\n8-12 years of relevant engineering experience, including system integration, testing, simulation systems, or sustainment engineering.\n3-5 years of experience in technical leadership or engineering management.\nLeadership Competencies\nStrategic planning and technical direction for multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nStrong communication skills, including technical briefings and external customer interaction.\nWorkforce and performance management, coaching, and professional development.\nDecision-making under cost, schedule, technical, and contractual constraints.\nRisk identification, mitigation planning, and problem-solving.\nInterpersonal & Collaboration Competencies\nAbility to coordinate across Engineering, TSSC, Configuration Management, Maintenance, Logistics, and Government representatives.\nEffective relationship-building and customer engagement.\nConflict resolution and consensus-building across diverse technical groups.\nDesired Skills\nMaster’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Engineering Management.\nExperience with JMATS, C-130J MATS, ATDs/MTDs, or similar DoD training systems.\nPrior experience as a functional lead for Test & Evaluation, Configuration Management, or Sustainment Engineering.\nRMF/DoD cybersecurity experience, ISSO/ISSM interaction, or SIMCERT support.\nFamiliarity with Agile development, DevSecOps environments, and model-based engineering.\nINCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP/CSEP).\nDoD 8570/8140 certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+).\nPMP or DAU acquisition/test certifications.\nPay Information\nFull-Time Salary Range: $94400.00 - $175200.00\nAt Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
