No other spacecraft in development has the technology needed for the extremes of deep space, such as life support, navigation, communications, radiation shielding and the world's largest heat shield that will support astronauts and help return them safely home.\nLockheed Martin is the prime contractor creating Orion. We are in the production phase and have finalized a contract for six Orion spacecraft missions and the ability to order up to 12 in total. The first spacecraft delivered on this contract, Artemis III, will transport the first woman and the next man to the surface of the Moon. The technology our engineers use to deliver the only exploration class spacecraft to take humans deeper into space than ever before.\nThis Denver Orion Test Labs technician position includes:\nAvionics, lab components, and harness integration in the Integrated Test Lab (ITL) and feeder labs\nLab Rack and harness fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and test\nProperty management, equipment calibration, shipping and receiving, facility upkeep\nFull time in-person, with occasional weekend and 2nd shifts\nPerforms a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
