We are seeking an experienced technical leader to oversee the sustainment, maintenance, and operational readiness of complex training support systems, simulator environments, and associated technical infrastructure.\nAs the Training-System Support Lead, you’ll lead the development, management and sustainment of training system support capability across shore-based training environments and U.S. and Sovereign platforms. Working closely with program stakeholders, you will ensure technical activities are planned, executed, monitored, and continuously improved to meet customer and contractual requirements.\nKey responsibilities\nLead and coordinate specialist maintenance and technical resources across the sustainment lifecycle.\nSupport the management and development of the Training Support System team, including tasking, processes, skills and delivery of contracted outcomes.\nExecute Maintenance Manager responsibilities in accordance with the LMA Maintenance Support Policy.\nEnsure maintenance activities and approved modifications are completed to authorised documentation and technical directives.\nDrive team training, workplace assessment, qualifications and professional development.\nMaintain Training Support Equipment to approved standards and specifications.\nLead the delivery of technical support, maintenance, and sustainment activities for training support systems and associated infrastructure.\nManage system availability, reliability, and operational readiness to meet customer and program requirements.\nOversee maintenance planning, asset management, configuration control, and technical documentation.\nCoordinate the resolution of complex technical issues with engineering teams, stakeholders, and customers.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance system performance, supportability, and service delivery.\nWhat you’ll bring\nYou are an experienced systems support, maintenance, or technical operations leader who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and leading multidisciplinary teams:\nRelevant tertiary, technical or trade qualification in engineering, engineering technology, electronics, information technology, maintenance/asset management or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience.\nExperience leading technical teams in maintenance, sustainment or operational support environments.\nExperience in asset and maintenance management.\nExperience with simulator, electronics or comparable technical operations.\nProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.\nDesired Skills\nExperience in Defence\nCertificate IV in Training and Assessment.\nDistributed computer network maintenance experience.\nCalibration-controlled equipment experience.\nWorkplace training and assessment experience.\nExperience with specialised Automated Test Equipment
