We are particularly interested in candidates with experience across substations, overhead lines and high-voltage cable projects.\nAbout LOCKROSE\nLOCKROSE provides specialist project delivery, programme management and commercial services to the UK energy sector. Our team supports some of the industry's most significant transmission and distribution projects, helping clients deliver the infrastructure required for a secure, reliable and low-carbon energy system.\nAs our business continues to grow, we are looking for experienced planners who can provide programme leadership, challenge delivery assumptions and help clients make informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.\nThe Role\nYou will play a key role in planning and controlling major transmission and/or distribution projects from development and pre-construction through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.\nWorking closely with project managers, engineers, commercial teams and contractors, you will develop and maintain robust project programmes, identify delivery risks and opportunities, and provide the insight needed to keep projects on track.\nThis role goes beyond maintaining schedules. We are looking for individuals who can understand how projects are delivered, challenge project teams where necessary, and provide clients with confidence in programme performance and forecast outcomes.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, maintain and manage detailed project schedules across the full project lifecycle.\nBuild and maintain logic-linked programmes that accurately reflect project scope, delivery strategy and key constraints.\nMonitor project progress and analyse programme performance against baseline schedules.\nIdentify and communicate critical path activities, programme risks and potential delays.\nSupport the management of outages, access requirements, long-lead equipment and major project interfaces.\nWork closely with project teams, contractors and suppliers to gather progress information and validate programme assumptions.\nAssess the programme impact of change, risk events and recovery strategies.\nProduce programme reports, dashboards and schedule analysis to support project decision-making.\nSupport project controls activities including forecasting, earned value analysis and performance reporting where required.\nContribute to planning standards, best practice and lessons learned across projects and programmes.\nRequirements\nEssential Experience & Capabilities\nA minimum of five years' experience working within the UK energy sector. Your application must clearly show the UK energy projects you have worked on and the dates of that experience.\nProven experience developing and managing programmes for transmission and/or distribution projects.\nDemonstrable experience across high-voltage cable, overhead line and/or substation projects.\nAdvanced Primavera P6 experience, including schedule development, critical path analysis and progress reporting.\nStrong understanding of project controls principles and programme management processes.\nExperience working with multidisciplinary project teams, contractors and client organisations.\nAbility to translate technical and construction information into realistic and deliverable project programmes.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly communicate programme risks and opportunities.\nExcellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.\nEligibility to work in the UK and willingness to travel to project locations.\nExperience and Qualifications We Would Value\nExperience supporting projects up to 400kV within operational network environments.\nExperience working under NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.\nA degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Controls or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.\nAPM PMQ, Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) or equivalent
