Join a team where your expertise is valued, your growth is supported, and your work helps maintain and enhance the critical infrastructure that powers communities across the nation.\nJob Summary\n The Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of the Master Electrician, is responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning and servicing of industrial / commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position will be responsible for following the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work.\nEssential Job Responsibilities:\nThe Electrician Apprentice will assist the Electrician with basic tasks\nComplete Maintenance work orders on electrical equipment. Testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects, troubleshooting, repairing equipment and replacing defective parts.\nCollaborate with other electrical staff to identify and resolve problems. \nUp-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.\nMinimum Qualifications\nRequired: \nPossessing the ability to understand schematics and technical manuals \nMust be reliable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.\nMust be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.\nBasic computer knowledge is required.\nMust be 18 years of age or older.\nPreferred:\n2-4 years of electrical apprenticeship preferred\nDemonstrate knowledge of electrical codes\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
