Join a team where your expertise is valued, your growth is supported, and your work helps maintain and enhance the critical infrastructure that powers communities across the nation.\nJob Summary\n The Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of the Licensed Electrician, is responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position will be responsible for following the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work.\nEssential Job Responsibilities\nThe Electrician Apprentice will assist the Electrician with basic tasks.\nComplete Maintenance work orders on electrical equipment. Testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects, troubleshooting, repairing equipment and replacing defective parts.\nCollaborate with other electrical staff to identify and resolve problems.\nKeeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.\nDocuments service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.\nUp-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.\nMinimum Qualifications\nRequired:\n2-4 years of electrical apprenticeship preferred.\nDemonstrate knowledge of electrical codes.\nPossessing the ability to understand schematics and technical manuals \nPreferred:\nMust be willing to embrace the company’s core values.\nMust be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.\nMust be 18 years of age or older.\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nWork Environment:\nOutside most of the time.\nPotential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.\nLimited working surfaces.\nExposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.\nExposure to areas with limited visibility.\nClimbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).\nLifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks.\nIf driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability are required.
