Join a team where your expertise is valued, your growth is supported, and your work helps maintain and enhance the critical infrastructure that powers communities across the nation. \nJob Summary \nThe Equipment and Materials Driver is responsible for safely transporting electrical materials to and from warehouse, suppliers, and job locations. \nEssential Job Responsibilities \nSafely perform and direct the loading and unloading of trucks \nTransport electrical materials in a safe, responsible manner \nPerform daily vehicle inspections and communicate any problems and standard maintenance with your vehicle \nUnderstand and complete the log book \nSubmit monthly vehicle reports to fleet \nPerform additional ad hoc responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to various office and warehouse/yard projects \nMinimum Qualifications \nRequired: \nHave at least six months experience driving/transporting materials \nHave experience pulling trailers \nBe at least 21 years of age with a High School diploma or GED \nHave a clean Motor Vehicle Record \n\nPreferred: \nExercise independent judgment and be motivated to grow and develop professionally \nDemonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving and customer service skills \nPhysical Demands and Work Environment \nThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. \n\nWork Environment: \nOutside most of the time. \nPotential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures \nLimited working surfaces \nExposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors \nExposure to areas with limited visibility \nClimbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights) \nLifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks \nIf driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability is required.
