The Welder will work closely with the Foremen/Superintendent to ensure project goals are met. The role involves unloading, stacking, and organizing steel materials, erecting structural steel, and performing welding tasks on construction sites. Additionally, may assist with minor mechanical repairs or installations. Requires the ability to operate heavy equipment such as manlifts, forklifts, etc.\nRole and Responsibilities\n Safety\n Follow all safety policies and procedures on the job site.\n Attend daily safety meetings and toolbox talks with the crew.\n Identify and address potential safety hazards immediately.\n Ensure use of required PPE.\n Key Responsibilities:\n Ensure all work is performed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with project specifications and industry best practices.\n Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs and material usage.\n Coordinate with other trades on the job site.\n Work with Foremen to troubleshoot and resolve any on-site issues that may arise.\n Maintain a clean and organized work area.\n Ensure all welds meet required standards and specifications.\n Identify and correct any defects or deficiencies.\nSkills \nExcellent safety record and a strong commitment to safety.\nStrong communication, and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nAbility to problem-solve and make quick decisions.\nValid driver's license and reliable transportation.\nOSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.\nFirst Aid/CPR certification preferred.\nQualifications\nRequired:\n\nMinimum 2 years of experience as an Iron Worker/Welder.\nStrong knowledge of ironworking and welding techniques, including layout and erection.\nExperience with a variety of welding processes (e.g., 3G, 4G, SMAW).\n\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
