Join a team where your expertise is valued, your growth is supported, and your work helps maintain and enhance the critical infrastructure that powers communities across the nation.\nJob Summary\n The Pre-Job Planner supports the planning and startup of electrical construction projects by working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, Purchasing, VDC, and Prefabrication teams. This role helps ensure projects are properly scoped, organized, and equipped for successful execution while following company planning standards and processes.\nEssential Job Responsibilities\nSupport the pre-job planning process for assigned projects.\nReview project documents to help ensure all scope is identified and captured.\nAssist in developing and maintaining project planning documentation.\nCoordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen to support project startup activities.\nParticipate in pre-job planning meetings and help track action items.\nAssist with project takeoffs and material planning.\nCoordinate with VDC and Total Station teams to support accurate models and field layouts.\nWork with Prefabrication teams to identify opportunities that improve project productivity and performance.\nCollaborate with Purchasing to support timely material procurement and project buyouts.\nTrack lessons learned from active and completed projects to improve future planning efforts.\nSupport consistent field installation standards and company best practices.\nMaintain project planning records, reports, and documentation.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n4+ years of mechanical/process piping experience\nStrong understanding of electrical construction methods, materials, and installation practices.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work effectively with field and office teams.\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.\n\nPreferred\nExperience with BIM/VDC, prefabrication, or Total Station workflows preferred.\nExperience with project planning, estimating, project coordination, or field supervision is a plus.\nSelf-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to project success.\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nWork Environment:\nIndoor office setting with controlled temperature.\nOutdoor industrial sites with exposure to weather extremes.\nPotential exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, or other environmental factors.\nTravel requirements: up to 10% of time.\nThis role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.\nBenefits\nLoenbro offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) with company match\nPaid time off and holidays\nLife and disability insurance\nEmployee and dependent education benefits through Loenbro University partnerships\nProfessional development and certification support\nBenefits eligibility may vary based on employment classification and hours worked.\nGuided by Core Values (LEAD), grounded in grit and a commitment to excellence, Loenbro betters our families, customers, andlocal communities.
